And what this means: We're not sure.
What we do know is that the Suns get another athletic wing in Richardson that can shoot and slash while the Bobcats get a group with a combined weight of Sean May.
Surely the Suns have suffered an identity crisis since Shaq has come over from Miami to sit in the lane, commanding half-court sets. What was once a hockey team on wood, has now looked like the 40-something league at the park district.
It's sluggish and awkward.
But Richardson could deliver an immediate punch, and with most trades in the NBA, they often do. The 6'6 leaper from Michigan State has never made an All-Star game and is certainly not a household name, but he's that third or fourth player that good teams tend to have.
Phoenix looked like a much more explosive offensive team on Wednesday night as they faced the LA Lakers. The reason: No Shaq.
Meanwhile, the Bulls sit still, and surely no one should make a trade for the sake of it--particularly in the NBA where contracts are more difficult to unload than any other professional sport.
As deadline approaches, we might hear some chatter, particularly with the glut of guards. And it makes you think: Is there any other team in the NBA that has as little trade flexibility as the Bulls?
Overpaid role players like Kirk Hinrich, Andres Nocioni, Luol Deng, Dwight Gooden make them nearly unmovable. Tyrus Thomas and Joakim Noah are young and bad, so that means we'll pretty much get old and bad in return.
Thus leaving whatever is left: Ben Gordon has to agree to a trade; Hughes is pricey but having his best year in seasons.
Tick. Tick. Tock.

Richardson sucks and I doubt that the suns are going anywhere. they're a joke after they've picked up shaq
Gordon is our greatest trade asset by a mile; we need to get him to agree to a sign and trade. If all goes well, we should consider we can maybe pry Chris Kaman from the Clips or even Marcus Camby if we wanted the defensive presence.
before we give up on the bulls this year, we have to give proprs to the team for pickign rose. he's awesome and the only player worth watching on this team. the rest can be put in the dump, for all i care.
