Lost in the flurry of grabbing Brandon Marshall for two third round picks, more news has emerged: The Bulls are desparately trying to unload Boozer for Pau Gasol.
Problem is: The Lakers know better.
While this sheds some light on Chris Sheridan's reported trade offer two weeks ago, it doesn't exactly make sense that the Lakers would ever do something like this.
I think there is a decent chance Gasol is moved, but I really don't know for whom (I suppose Rondo).
This is encouraging, however, because the Bulls realize that they are not perfectly assembled to win a championship. This comes on the eve of the second showdown with the Miami Heat--their superior.
Meanwhile, Derrick Rose gets slapped with a $25,000 fine for blasting officials, buys a $2.8 million condo and gets into a minor car accident. Carlos Boozer name surfaces as a trade option. Luol Deng is returning from another absence.
I would be surprised if the Bulls play inspired ball Wednesday.
